Dominik schaltet die Lampe an und setzt sich hin. Er trinkt seinen Kaffee. Schließlich hat er eine Idee.
Dominic turns on the lamp and sits down. He drinks his coffee. Finally, he has an idea.
Er fängt an auf seinem Laptop zu schreiben. Er schreibt an einem Skript für einen Film.
He starts typing on his laptop. He is writing a script for a film.
„Alles ist still“, schreibt er. „Der Wachmann schläft. Die geheimen Briefe liegen auf dem Schreibtisch. Die Spionin nähert sich. Leise —“
“Everything is silent,” he writes. “The security guard is sleeping. The secret letters are on the desk. The spy moves closer. Quietly, she —”
Bumm! Dominik springt auf. Der Kaffee läuft über den Laptop. Der Laptop geht aus. Auf dem Bildschirm steht: „Fehler!“
Bang! Dominic jumps. The coffee spills on the laptop. The laptop stops working. The screen says: “Error!”
Draußen vor dem Fenster sind grüne und gelbe Lichter. Leute klatschen. Dominiks Nachbarin gibt eine Party. Sie ist eine berühmte Filmregisseurin. Bumm! Noch ein Feuerwerk explodiert in ihrem Garten.
There are green and yellow lights outside the window. People are clapping. Dominic’s neighbour is having a party. She is a famous film director. Bang! Another firework explodes in the director’s garden.
In dem Mülleimer neben Dominiks Schreibtisch liegt ein Brief. Darin steht: „Bitte komm zu meiner Party. Wir feiern meinen neuen Film, ‚Entschuldigung, Frau Spionin‘. Dein Skript geht auch über eine Spionin, oder nicht? Bitte erzähl mir davon!“
In the bin, beside Dominic’s desk, there is a letter. It says: “Please come to my party. We’re celebrating my new film, ‘Sorry, Mr Spy’. Your script is about a spy too, isn’t it? Please tell me about it!”
Dominik zieht die Gardinen zu. Er reinigt den Laptop. Er schaltet ihn aus, dann schaltet er ihn wieder ein. Er funktioniert.
Dominic closes the curtains. He cleans the laptop. He turns it off, then he turns it on again. It’s working.
Er beginnt ein neues Skript.
He starts a new script.
„Die Filmregisseurin gibt eine Party“, schreibt er. „Ihr neuer Film, ‚Die Entschuldigung‘ ist sehr berühmt. Mitten während der Party erscheint ihr Nachbar.“
“The film director is having a party,” he writes. “Her new film, ‘The Apology’, is very popular. In the middle of the party, her neighbour arrives.
„Er ist wütend. ‚Deine Filme sind Müll‘, sagt er. ‚Berühmt, aber Müll. Ich schreibe ein Skript, das brillant ist. Aber ich kann es nicht fertig schreiben, weil ihr so einen Lärm macht!‘
“He’s angry. ‘Your films are rubbish,’ he says. ‘Popular, but rubbish. I’m writing a script that is brilliant. But I can’t finish it, because you’re making so much noise!’
„Am nächsten Tag kommt die Regisseurin, um sich zu entschuldigen. Sie möchte sein Skript lesen. Aber er schließt die Tür. Schließlich tut es der Regisseurin von ‚Die Entschuldigung‘ leid. Ende.“
“The next day, the director comes to apologise. She wants to read his script. But he closes the door. Finally, the director of ‘The Apology’ feels sorry. The End.”
Dominik lächelt. Dann klickt er auf „Löschen“.
Dominic smiles. Then he clicks Delete.
Am nächsten Tag klopft jemand an Dominiks Tür. Es ist die Regisseurin.
The next day, someone knocks on Dominic’s door. It’s the director.
„Dein neues Skript ist fantastisch!“, sagt sie.
“Your new script is fantastic!” she says.
„Was?“
“What?”
„Die Regisseurin, der es leid tut! Ich liebe es.“
“The director who feels sorry! I love it.”
Dominik rennt zu seinem Laptop. Sein Skript ist noch da. Der Laptop verschickt gerade das Skript per Email an alle in seinen Kontakten. Der Bildschirm sagt immer noch: „Fehler!“
Dominic runs to his laptop. His script is still there. The laptop is emailing the script to everyone in his contacts. The screen still says: “Error!”
„Aber ich —“
“But I —”
„Was für eine brillante Idee, Dominik, den Film hier zu drehen, in meinem Garten! Alle sind bereit – wir fangen heute an. Ich weiß, wir arbeiten zu hart, aber wir feiern auch viele Partys! Dominik? Geht es dir gut?“
“What a brilliant idea, Dominic, to make the film here, in my garden! Everyone’s ready – we’re starting today. I know, we work too hard – but we have a lot of parties too! Dominic? Are you alright?”
